My Surf Camp

My Surf Camp sits on the first line of Weligama Beach, one of Sri Lanka's most consistent and beginner-friendly surf spots. The villa is within walking distance of local shops, cafes, and the heart of Weligama town. The camp is led by Koffee (also known as Coffee), an ISA-certified coach and member of the International Lifeguard Federation who opened one of the first surf schools in Weligama back in 2010. He has trained everyone from complete beginners to members of the Sri Lankan national team. His team of certified instructors brings the same level of professionalism and genuine passion for surfing. The weekly program runs Sunday to Sunday, combining structured surf lessons with yoga sessions, freediving, and cultural experiences like a cooking masterclass with the camp chef. Classes are small and personalized, with video analysis to help you improve. When you're not in the water, there's free use of bicycles to explore the coast and board games for downtime. Meals are a highlight here - three home-cooked Sri Lankan meals daily, plus tea, fresh coffee, and coconuts available throughout the day. The atmosphere is social and welcoming, with a mix of solo travelers and small groups looking for an authentic surf experience away from the tourist-heavy camps.
