Wanderlust Surf Camp

Wanderlust Surf Camp sits in the heart of Arugam Bay on Sri Lanka's east coast. The camp was co-founded by Rebekah, a former educator turned adventurer, and Kutty, a local surf legend who has been riding waves since childhood. The daily rhythm is simple: wake with the sunrise, grab breakfast, then head out with Kutty and the team to surf. They run two coached sessions each day, taking guests to spots like Main Point, Peanut Farm, Elephant Rock, and Whiskey Point depending on conditions. Video analysis happens three times a week so you can actually see what you're doing right and wrong. Afternoons are free to explore, rest, or join one of the yoga sessions. The community kitchen stays open for those who want to cook, and there's always someone around the chill-out areas to share stories with. The surf program works for all levels. Beginners get the basics down in the whitewater before progressing. Intermediate surfers work on technique and wave selection. Everyone gets quality time in the water with proper coaching ratios. Accommodation is straightforward - private rooms or shared dorms, all with AC and ensuite bathrooms. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable with hot showers and somewhere to hang your wetsuit.
