O'Neill Surf Academy Spain El Palmar

O'Neill Surf Academy Spain operates two locations along the Cadiz coastline: the main school at El Palmar beach in Vejer de la Frontera, and a seasonal school at Roche beach in Conil de la Frontera. Both spots are selected for their consistent waves and safe conditions for learning. The academy runs surf courses throughout the year, adapting schedules to tides since lessons are always held at low tide for safety. Group classes have 4-6 students per instructor, while private lessons offer one-on-one coaching for faster progression or custom focus areas. Equipment includes professional soft-top boards designed for beginners that provide stability while remaining safe. Intermediate and advanced surfers have access to NSP epoxy boards, fish shapes, and even Firewire and Slater Designs shortboards for those ready to progress. All O'Neill wetsuits are provided, with 5/3mm for winter and 3/2mm for summer. Beyond regular classes, the surf camp packages combine accommodation in private bungalows at El Palmar beach with daily surf lessons and yoga sessions. Guests stay in surfhouses with free WiFi, bicycle access, and BBQ facilities. The camp operates with a minimum of two people and can be customized to different trip lengths. Additional activities include SUP tours along the coast, surfskate sessions for when waves are flat, and private SUP lessons. The location offers access to over 15 kilometers of coastline with various breaks including the famous Roche, Hierbabuena in Barbate, and Canos de Meca.
