Planet Surfcamp Spanien sits on the beautiful Cantabrian coast at El Rosal campground, a three-star facility positioned right on the beachfront in San Vicente de la Barquera. The camp runs from June through September, welcoming surfers aged 18 and up who want to combine surf instruction with Spanish coastal culture. The setup is straightforward but comfortable. Guests stay in spacious four-person glamping tents, shared between two people. Each tent comes with wooden floors, mattresses, and bedding. The campground itself has shade trees, grassy areas, and sits within 50 meters of restaurants and shops. Surf instruction runs in small groups of maximum eight students with multilingual, licensed instructors certified by the Spanish Surfing Federation. Three course levels are offered: beginner classes that focus on getting comfortable with waves and equipment, intermediate sessions working on unbroken wave technique, and advanced coaching emphasizing turn execution. The camp uses two main beach breaks with alternative spots available during larger swells. Beyond surfing, the program includes five weekly yoga sessions held in natural settings like the beach or nearby forest. Meals are covered with a breakfast buffet, packed lunches for the beach, and hot dinners. Evening activities include volleyball, skateboarding, ping-pong, and beach contests, with a party tent for videos and music. Equipment is included and available even outside lesson times. Boards, wetsuits, fins, and bodyboards can all be borrowed throughout your stay.
