About
All-inclusive summer surf camp in Llanes, Asturias, for adults 18-35. Camping accommodation, daily surf lessons, quality meals by a dedicated chef, and group activities from hiking to beach parties. Limited to 25 guests per week for a personal experience.
Mavericks Surf Camp was founded four years ago in Llanes, a picturesque coastal town in Asturias, northern Spain. What started as a small operation with minimal investment and maximum passion has grown into one of the most popular surf camps in the region.
The team believes that incredible vacation experiences do not require traveling to exotic destinations. The Asturian coast offers world-class waves, dramatic cliffs, hidden beaches, and caves that rival anywhere in the world. The camp is built around this idea: bringing accessible adventure to Spain without the price tag of far-flung surf destinations.
The weekly camp structure keeps groups small, limited to 25 people, which allows instructors to give personal attention and creates a tight-knit community. Many guests return year after year, and the camp has a reputation for repeat visitors who come back for the atmosphere as much as the waves.
Surf lessons run daily with certified instructors who adapt their teaching to each person's level. Whether you have never stood on a board or you are working on reading waves and timing, the sessions are tailored to help you progress. Theory workshops complement the water time, covering wave mechanics, ocean safety, and surf etiquette.
Outside of surfing, the camp organizes hiking excursions to nearby caves and mountain trails, beach volleyball tournaments, cold water swims, and evening parties. The chef prepares every meal with locally sourced ingredients, and guests consistently mention the food as a highlight of their stay.
Accommodation is in shared tents at a campsite that includes pool, sauna, Turkish bath, and gym access. The setup is social by design, ideal for solo travelers looking to make friends and couples or groups wanting an active vacation.
