What makes Horizon stand out is the professional pedigree behind it. Pelayo Suarez spent years competing at the highest level before channeling his experience into teaching. The result is a methodical approach to surf instruction that adapts to each student's level, whether you're standing up for the first time or working on your bottom turns. All instructors hold certifications from the Spanish Surf Federation. The camp runs year-round with the exception of July and August being the peak summer season (slightly higher rates). Classes happen twice daily - morning and afternoon sessions of 2 hours each. The reduced group sizes mean more waves and more personalized feedback. Equipment is included and available whenever you want to surf outside of lessons. The Surf House provides a social base for the camp. Rooms are shared but spacious, and the common areas include a large garden with hammocks, ping-pong, and a BBQ zone. Meals are taken together at a selected cafe near the house - three proper meals a day, all included. The vibe is distinctly adult - no family programs here, just surfers focused on improving their skills and enjoying the Asturian coast.
