Art Surf Camp

Art Surf Camp has been teaching people to surf on Galicia's Atlantic coast for over 21 years, making it one of Spain's most established surf schools. The camp sits at Razo Beach in A Coruna province, a 7km stretch of white sand with consistent waves 365 days a year that works for all skill levels. The teaching method has been developed over two decades of experience, combining theory sessions, in-water coaching, and video analysis to accelerate learning. Instructors are certified by the Spanish or Galician Surf Federation and selected for both their surfing ability and teaching skills. Groups are limited to 6 students per instructor and organized by age and level. The surf hostel accommodates 61 guests across three floors, with all rooms featuring private bathrooms. While most accommodation is in shared dormitories, private rooms are available for those wanting more space. Two terraces overlook the Atlantic, used for morning theory sessions, video review, and watching sunset after a day in the water. Beyond surfing, the camp runs a full program of activities including yoga, surfskate on their woodwave ramp, mini ramp skateboarding, beach volleyball, coastal hiking, and slackline. The social atmosphere attracts solo travelers and groups alike, with 6-7 local bars keeping the village lively during summer. Three Galician meals are prepared fresh daily in the camp kitchen, with menus adapted for vegetarians and food allergies. The town of Carballo is 9km away with full services including a medical center.
