Born from a passion for surf and the wild beauty of Baleal, Surfness Lodge offers an authentic surf camp experience in the heart of Peniche. The lodge features five room types ranging from cozy doubles with garden views to ocean-view suites with private balconies overlooking the Atlantic. Every room comes with free WiFi and comfortable beds designed for surfers who need quality rest between sessions.
The surf school operates with ISA and FPS-certified instructors who adapt lessons to each student's level. Group sessions keep a maximum of 5 students per coach, while private lessons offer focused one-on-one attention for faster progression. Kids are welcome with specially designed lessons. Beyond surfing, guests can book yoga classes to stretch out and find balance after time in the water.
Peniche is a unique peninsula with spots facing every swell direction - from the famous Supertubos to mellow beach breaks at Cantinho da Baia. The lodge sits in Casais do Baleal, a quiet village with authentic Portuguese restaurants and a relaxed atmosphere, far from the tourist crowds but close to everything a surfer needs. Equipment rental is available directly from the lodge, including quality surfboards and wetsuits for all conditions.
