About
Nomad Surf Camp is a family-run surf house in Tamraght, Morocco, operating since 2008. Located in the heart of the village and just a short walk from Banana Point, the camp offers daily surf lessons, yoga sessions, and authentic Moroccan meals. The rooftop terrace provides stunning ocean views, making it a gathering spot for guests from around the world.
Nomad Surf Camp was founded in 2008 with a simple mission: to create a welcoming place where ocean lovers and travelers feel at home. Situated in Tamraght, a traditional coastal village between Agadir and Taghazout, the camp sits within walking distance of several surf spots including Banana Point, Crocodile Rock, and Devils Rock.
The philosophy at Nomad centers on community, adventure, and the spirit of the nomad. Meals are shared family-style, featuring traditional Moroccan dishes like tagine and couscous prepared fresh each day. The camp caters to all skill levels, from complete beginners to experienced surfers looking to explore the local breaks with knowledgeable guides.
Beyond surfing, guests can join yoga sessions on the rooftop terrace, take day trips to Paradise Valley, visit the local souk in Agadir, or try sandboarding on the nearby dunes. The team, led by Jalal (founder and surf coach), Imad (camp host), Sofiane (surf coach), and Abdo (community manager), works to ensure every guest feels part of the Nomad family.
The surf house features multiple room options from shared dorms for solo travelers to family suites for groups. Common areas include a comfortable living room, chill zones, and the signature rooftop terrace where sunsets become a nightly ritual.
