About
A family-run surf camp in Tamraght, Taghazout Bay, founded by Abdelkarim Marjani in 2022. Natural Surf Morocco combines surf coaching for all levels with authentic Moroccan hospitality, home-cooked meals, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the Atlantic. Certified local instructors guide surfers from first stand-up to green wave progression.
Natural Surf Morocco was founded by Abdelkarim Marjani, a passionate surfer who started riding waves at age 12 on Morocco's Atlantic coast. After completing nursing studies and becoming a certified surf instructor in 2014, Karim launched this surf camp in 2022 to share his love for surfing with travelers from around the world.
The camp sits in the heart of Tamraght, a five-minute walk from the beach. The building blends surf culture with traditional Moroccan design: colorful textiles, comfortable beds, and a panoramic rooftop terrace with views across the ocean. Guests gather here for sunrise yoga, sunset tea, and to share stories of the day's waves.
What makes Natural Surf Morocco special is the family atmosphere. Karim's mother cooks all meals using fresh local ingredients, preparing everything from hearty breakfasts to traditional Moroccan tagines. The food receives consistent praise from guests for its quality and variety, with options for vegetarians and other dietary needs.
The surf coaching team includes Karim, Omar, Otman, and Reda - all local surfers who grew up on these breaks. Groups are kept small so each guest receives individual attention. Whether you're catching your first whitewater wave or working on green wave positioning, the team adapts to your level.
Beyond surfing, guests can book excursions to Paradise Valley's natural pools, sandboarding in the dunes, camel rides, visits to Agadir's souk, and quad biking. Massage and traditional hammam services are also available for recovery.
The camp welcomes surfers of all levels year-round, with Karim personally ensuring each guest feels at home from the moment they arrive.
