About
Family-run surf camp in Tamraght, 14km north of Agadir with direct access to 8 surf spots including Banana Point, Crocro, and Spider. With 22 years of experience, certified instructors guide surfers of all levels across Morocco's best waves. Three panoramic terraces overlook the Atlantic, and authentic Moroccan cuisine keeps you fueled for dawn-to-dusk sessions.
Aloha Surf Camp sits on a hilltop in Tamraght, the village surfers have flocked to since the 1970s when Morocco's wave potential first became known. Today, the camp occupies 5 buildings with 30 rooms, 20 of which have direct ocean views across the region's most consistent breaks.
The surf school operates with a team of 4 certified instructors from the Moroccan Surf Federation. Daily sessions run morning and afternoon, with transport provided to whichever spot is working best that day. The quiver room stocks boards for every level, from soft-tops for beginners to performance shortboards for advanced surfers. Longboards, bodyboards, and fins are also available for rent.
Within a 50km radius, over 30 spots await. Close to camp, Crocro and Devil's Rock offer reliable beach break waves suitable for learning. Banana Point, just below the property, delivers long right-handers on bigger swells. For experienced surfers, guides know where to find Anchor Point, Killer Point, and the famous tubes of Imsouane, one of the longest right-hand point breaks in Africa.
The surf camp doubles as an auberge with a restaurant serving traditional Moroccan dishes prepared by resident chefs. Breakfast buffets, beach picnic lunches, and communal dinners create a social atmosphere. Three terraces face the ocean, equipped with sun loungers for afternoon relaxation. When the waves go flat, excursions to Paradise Valley, the Agadir souk, or quad rides through the Atlas foothills fill the day.
Entertainment includes two pool tables, table tennis, baby-foot, a video projection room for surf film nights, and an on-site massage room using local argan oil. Shuttles run to Agadir nightclubs for those seeking evening entertainment. The skatepark provides an outlet when the tide is wrong.
Operating year-round with 330 days of sunshine, the camp offers packages ranging from the budget Eco Pack to the full Surf School Pack with 6 hours of daily coaching. Students and groups receive special rates, and children under 13 get 15% off. Airport transfers from Agadir are available for 30EUR each way.
