About
Mystery Surf Camp is a locally-owned surf camp in Imsouane, Morocco, founded by Ismail Bairou - an IKO-certified instructor who grew up surfing these waters. The camp offers all-inclusive packages with surf lessons, yoga, surf skate, and Moroccan meals at one of the world's longest right-hand waves. Located in a 4-story building with rooftop terrace, accommodating up to 22 guests.
Mystery Surf Camp was founded in 2019 by Ismail Bairou, a local from Imsouane and Essaouira who grew up by the sea with a deep passion for water sports. What started as a renovated family home has grown into a welcoming surf camp that draws travelers from around the world.
The camp is located in Imsouane, a laid-back fishing village on Morocco's Atlantic coast, home to "The Bay" - one of the longest right-hand waves in Africa. This gentle, rolling wave makes Imsouane the ideal spot for beginners and intermediate surfers to progress their skills.
The surf program includes daily lessons with experienced local coaches, video analysis of your sessions, and photos to track your progress. Beyond surfing, the camp offers yoga classes on the rooftop terrace, surf skate lessons for practicing your technique on land, and sand surfing in the nearby dunes.
The hostel features a combination of single rooms, double rooms, and a dormitory, accommodating up to 22 guests across four floors. The rooftop terrace offers ocean views and serves as the perfect spot for sunset yoga sessions and social evenings. Every week, the team organizes a fire camp party in the dunes with music, drinks, and a dreamy desert atmosphere.
The kitchen serves traditional Moroccan meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - think tagines, fresh seafood, and locally-sourced ingredients. The team speaks English, French, Arabic, and Spanish, making communication easy for international guests.
