About
Community-focused surf camp in Imsouane, Morocco, overlooking "The Bay" - Africa's longest right-hand wave. Founded by Hakim and the local Hadoum family, Imsouane Vibe offers authentic Amazigh hospitality, homemade Berber meals, rooftop yoga sessions, and personalized surf instruction. Located steps from the famous Bay and Cathedral surf spots.
Imsouane Vibe Surf Camp began as an Instagram page created by Hakim to share the surf lifestyle of this coastal Moroccan village. When the January 2024 demolitions threatened the community, the page became a voice of resilience, reminding travelers that Imsouane was still here. From that spirit, the surf camp was born.
Today, Imsouane Vibe is a partnership between Hakim - an Amazigh surfer from the Atlas Mountains with experience managing surf camps and restaurants - and the Hadoum family, whose house has been transformed into a welcoming space for travelers.
The surf house sits in the heart of Imsouane, just steps from the Bay. The ground floor houses Ocean Peak Surf Shop & School, run by Otman, the surf lesson manager. Above, guests find cozy rooms across three floors: private doubles, twin rooms with sea views, and a top-floor dorm with its own kitchen and balcony. The rooftop is the heart of the house, perfect for sunrise yoga, sunset watching, and evening gatherings.
Surf programs cater to beginners and intermediates, with daily lessons, equipment included, and photos/videos of your sessions. Chef-prepared Moroccan dinners, traditional Berber breakfasts, and the warm hospitality of Fatima and the team create a family atmosphere where guests quickly feel at home.
Beyond surfing, the camp offers surf skate lessons, yoga sessions, and trips to explore the region's sand dunes, the medina of Essaouira, and the village of Taghazout.
