About
SurfandTherapy offers personalized surf camps in Essaouira with over 20 years of local experience. The school combines daily surf lessons with yoga sessions and optional activities like horseback riding, all led by certified instructors including founder Sif. Packages cover multiple locations along Morocco's Atlantic coast, from Essaouira's medina to Sidi Kaouki and Imsouane, with accommodation options ranging from historic riad apartments to spacious countryside villas.
SurfandTherapy was founded by Sif, a local surfer with over two decades of experience on Morocco's Atlantic waves. Based in Essaouira, the school provides comprehensive surf packages that extend beyond the water to include yoga sessions, horseback riding on the beach, and cultural experiences.
The team of certified English and French-speaking instructors keeps group sizes small to ensure personalized attention. Daily lessons cover surf theory and practice, helping beginners stand up for the first time and guiding intermediate surfers to refine their technique. All equipment is provided, including quality surfboards and wetsuits suited to the Atlantic conditions.
Accommodation options are spread across Essaouira and nearby villages. In the historic medina, guests can stay in L'Horloge, a bright apartment in a 17th-century riad just minutes from the beach. The Loft offers more space for groups of up to six, with two bedrooms and authentic Moroccan decor. Further from town, Diabat village provides a peaceful setting in the village made famous by Jimi Hendrix, while Chez Laila offers a local family-home experience just 10 minutes away.
For larger groups, Dar Mimosa is a 530sqm villa in the Ida Ougourd Valley with a pool, gardens, and multiple suites. All properties include daily cleaning and feature WiFi, parking, and shower facilities.
Multi-day packages include surf lessons, yoga, accommodation, and breakfast. The 7-day adventure covers three destinations: Essaouira, Sidi Kaouki, and Imsouane, offering variety in wave types and coastal scenery.
