About
MoujaWave brings together surf, kitesurf, and yoga on Essaouira's Atlantic coast. With over a decade of experience, certified instructors guide beginners through their first waves and help intermediate surfers progress their technique. The school partners with local riads, studios, apartments, and villas to offer complete surf retreat packages from weekend escapes to week-long adventures.
MoujaWave was established over ten years ago in Essaouira, Morocco's windswept Atlantic surf town. The team of certified English and French-speaking instructors provides personalized coaching for surf, kitesurf, and wingfoil. Lessons run 2-3 hours daily and cover everything from paddling technique and wave selection for beginners to turn refinement and positioning for intermediate surfers.
The surf camp offers flexible accommodation options to match different budgets and group sizes. Guests can choose between traditional riads in the medina, modern studios, spacious apartments, or private villas for larger groups. All packages include breakfast, equipment, airport transfers from Essaouira, and professional photo sessions.
Beyond surfing, the program connects visitors with Essaouira's rich culture. Optional activities include yoga sessions, hammam visits, cooking classes, camel and horse rides along the beach, quad biking in the dunes, and exploring the UNESCO-listed medina. Day trips to surf spots like Sidi Kaouki and Diabat Beach offer variety when conditions suit different wave types.
The school uses quality equipment from brands like Cabrinha, Duotone, and Zeus for kite gear, with a full quiver of beginner to performance surfboards. Small group sizes ensure personalized attention, and the friendly team often goes beyond lessons to help with travel logistics and local recommendations.
