Water temperatures stay 27-29°C year-round, so no wetsuit needed.

Essential gear:

• Reef booties: Critical, especially at Ujung Bocur (exposed reef entry)
• Rashguard: Sun protection for long sessions
• First aid kit: Antiseptic for reef cuts (they happen)
• Reef-safe sunscreen

Hazards:

• Sharp, shallow coral at low tide
• Strong currents through channels during tidal changes
• Occasional reef sharks and sea snakes (rare, non-aggressive)
• Seasonal jellyfish (minor concern)
