G-Land Bobby's Surf Camp

Bobby's Surf Camp is the original surf camp at G-Land, operating since 1973. Located on the southeast tip of Java, along the eastern shoreline of Grajagan Bay within Alas Purwo National Park, this is where surf legends from around the world have come for over 40 years to ride one of the planet's most iconic left-hand reef breaks. The camp sits directly in the jungle preserve, surrounded by wildlife including deer, monkeys, and the occasional Javanese tiger. G-Land offers world-class barreling waves with multiple sections - Kong's, Moneytree's, Launching Pads, and Speed Reef - depending on tide and swell direction. Beyond surfing, the camp provides a true jungle adventure. The location is remote and raw, accessible only by speedboat from Bali. Guests stay in comfortable rooms with AC, private bathrooms, and daily housekeeping. Three meals are served daily with the camp's set menu, and beer or soft drinks are included. The camp has hosted numerous professional surfing events including the WSL Championship Tour, most recently the 2022 Quiksilver/ROXY Pro G-Land won by Jack Robinson and Johanne Defay. This was the first WSL event at G-Land in 25 years, cementing the wave's legendary status in competitive surfing.
