Summersurf Montalivet

The Surf & Yoga Camp sits just a few minutes walk from both the beach and the center of Montalivet, an idyllic seaside town on the Gironde coast. Summersurf has been running DWV-certified surf schools since 2011, and this location adds yoga to the mix for a more rounded experience. Surf lessons run six days a week (Sunday to Friday), with 2 hours of instruction daily plus free equipment use from dawn to dusk. The yoga program offers at least 10 sessions weekly, ranging from energizing morning flows to sunset wind-down sessions, all led by qualified instructors. Beyond the scheduled activities, the camp provides skateboards and a mini-ramp, slacklines, beachvolleyball, and fat bikes for cruising through the pine forests. Evenings bring everyone together for communal dinners (the 3-course meals are highly praised), bar nights, and outdoor surf movies. Accommodation is in spacious canvas tents that sleep two, each fitted with proper air mattresses, lighting, and power for charging phones. Van travelers can bring their own setup and still join the full program. The town itself offers weekly markets with local produce, surf shops, crepe stands, and bars for those evenings when staying in camp feels too quiet.
