Star Surf Camp - Surf Chill

Star Surf Camps started when three friends from Plymouth University decided to turn their passion for surfing into something bigger. What began as a small 25-person camp in 2009 has grown into one of France's most popular surf holiday destinations, attracting thousands of guests each summer season. The camp sits in a pine forest near Moliets-Plage on France's southwest coast, known for consistent beach breaks that work well for learners. The setup is pure camping vibes: bell tents and basic shared tents scattered among the trees, a central communal area with food tents and a bar, and a skate ramp where surfers hang out between sessions. Days follow a relaxed rhythm. Morning yoga for those who want it, then transport to whichever beach has the best conditions. Surf lessons run in small groups with experienced instructors who actually know the local breaks. Equipment is included - soft tops for beginners, a range of boards as you progress. Afternoons are free for more surfing, skating, or just chilling at camp. Evenings are where Star Surf stands out. Wine and cheese nights, beer Olympics, live music, open mic sessions, and the inevitable farewell party on Fridays. The camp attracts a young, social crowd - mostly 18-35s from across Europe looking for both surf progression and a good time. The team offers day trips to San Sebastian and Biarritz, adding some variety to the week. Food is included - breakfast daily plus dinners four nights a week, buffet-style with vegetarian options available.
