The surf house has been a trusty home for surf travelers for the past four years, building a reputation for bringing together good people who want to score waves and share the stoke. The property is spread over two levels with shared dorms and private rooms, three bathrooms, a spacious open-plan living area, and a large garden filled with hammocks and lounging spots. There is also a covered outdoor area that doubles as a yoga studio, an outdoor gym, and two outdoor showers for post-surf rinses. The surf guiding here is different from formal lessons. Think of it as surfing with a bunch of knowledgeable friends who check the forecasts, know the best times and spots to surf, and load up the van with boards and wetsuits. Those who want to join grab a bike or walk to the beach where the guides give a brief rundown of the surf spot. With no fixed schedules, you can be surfing from sunrise to sunset, following the surf-eat-siesta-repeat cycle. Everyone is free to come and go, choosing which sessions to join while always having someone to surf with. The surf house has a top-of-the-line foamie surfboard collection ranging from 5'10" funboards up to 9ft wave-catching machines. The team are foamie enthusiasts and believe it is the best and most fun way to surf here in Hossegor. If you need a performance shortboard, they can arrange rental from local shops. For beginners or those wanting a refresh on fundamentals, surf lessons are available through Ecole de Surf Cote Francaise at nearby Les Bourdaines beach.
