Moliets is a small French coastal village with around 950 residents, located on the Atlantic coast surrounded by dense pine forests. The area has become a go-to destination for surfers across Europe thanks to its consistent waves and sandy beach breaks that work for all levels. Planet Surf operates here through a partner camp setup, having transitioned from running their own facility to collaborating with established local operators. The camp sits on the Les Cigales campground, about 1000 meters from the beach and surf spots. The nearby town has bars, nightclubs, restaurants, and surf shops within walking distance. Surf instruction is provided by multilingual, licensed coaches who take groups of maximum 8 students. Sessions include both water time and surf theory, with instructors selecting different spots based on conditions and ability levels. The coaching team includes members who have competed at national level. Life at camp follows a laid-back rhythm with surf in the mornings, afternoons free for beach time or exploring, and communal meals bringing everyone together. The camp organizes optional activities including trips to Biarritz, shopping outings to the surf brand outlets in Hossegor, and themed evenings with barbecues and music. Accommodation ranges from budget Back2Basics tents to premium Deluxe tipi glamping, all with bedding provided. Food is fresh and varied with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included, plus vegetarian and vegan options available. Optional add-ons include yoga classes and day trips to San Sebastian across the Spanish border.
