Natural Surf Lodge

Villa Baina sits in a quiet neighborhood of Seignosse Ocean, a surf town on France's Atlantic coast near Hossegor. The house was designed in the 1980s by local architect Francois Gassan and renovated in 2015 using natural materials like wood and tinted resin reminiscent of surfboard glass. The property accommodates around 12 surfers in a mix of dorms and private rooms, creating an intimate community that lives by the rhythm of the waves. Each morning starts with a continental breakfast featuring local and organic products, followed by surf lessons at Casernes beach with state-certified instructors. The 1,000m2 garden features a large Jacuzzi and swim spa where guests recover between sessions. Inside, the spacious living area opens onto a 25m2 south-facing terrace. A shared kitchen, ping pong table, and baby foot round out the common spaces. Location is the main draw: Agreou beach is a 5-minute walk, legendary spots like La Graviere and Hossegor Centrale are 15 minutes away by bike through the pine forest. Restaurants, bars, and shops in Seignosse Ocean are within walking distance. The surf camp experience centers on Claire and Stephane Becret's 20+ years of passion for surfing and the ocean. Their team of instructors and activity leaders create a welcoming atmosphere where surfers of all ages and levels can progress while making lasting friendships.
