Hegoa Surf Camp offers a unique surf and glamping experience in the heart of the French Basque Country. Located at 185 Chemin de Mayarco in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the camp sits between the ocean and the picturesque Basque countryside. Guests can choose between private double tents for couples, shared tents accommodating up to 5 people, or pitch spaces for those bringing their own vans or campervans.
The camp is just a 2-minute walk from the beach, bars, and restaurants, with the town center only 10 minutes away. Nearby surf spots include Cenitz, Mayarco, and Lafitenia, each offering unique waves for beginners through advanced surfers. A supermarket is just 5 minutes away, and the famous coastal bike path "La Velodyssee" runs nearby.
Surf packages include 5 lessons per week at 200 EUR per person, with all equipment and shuttle service included. Single lessons are available for 50 EUR. Beyond surfing, guests can enjoy volleyball, football, petanque, basketball, swimming, yoga, massages, ping-pong, coastal hikes, and cultural tours. The season runs from April 15 to November 3, with flexible bookings available.
The camp welcomes adults and young travelers, particularly those in their mid-20s, though there is no strict age limit. Languages spoken include English, French, and Spanish.
