He developed a holistic methodology called the Surf Sequence to foster inclusive surfer development. At Puro Surf Academy, surfing is seen not just as a sport but as a way of life. The mission is to make the joy of surfing accessible to everyone, regardless of their level or background. The academy features world-class facilities including a gym, yoga room, video analysis room, lap pool, concrete wave for skateboard practice, and open mat area. Coaching follows a structured progression system similar to martial arts belts, ensuring students master strong foundations before advancing. Located in El Zonte, the hotel and academy sit right on the beach with direct access to consistent waves suitable for all levels. The dry season from November to April offers pleasant conditions with 2-3 foot waves, while the rainy season from May to October brings more powerful 4-6 foot swells.
